Gluten Free Cosmetics

Gluten free cosmetics!

Did you know that the average woman eats a pound of lipstick in the coarse of a lifetime?!

Did you that there may be ingredients in that lipstick that contain gluten?

Several doctors state that there is no cause for concern when it comes to gluten being found in topical cosmetics, arguing that gluten molecules are too big to be absorbed through the skin. These doctors missed the memo about the pound of lipstick we ladies eat every year.

Applying, handling, and wearing cosmetics that contain gluten is risky. Wheat derived ingredients are used as binders, emollients and some forms of vitamin E are derived from wheat.

There are all sorts of ways that that gluten might find its way into you body and cause issues.

To be safe it’s not a bad idea to look for cosmetics that are gluten free.
