Health Information Technology
Health information technology is basically the management of health information and its exchange.
Technology is typically viewed as the way to improve health care quality, safety, and efficiency.
However, the concern seems to be how to keep the "exchange" secure.
I understand this concern, but still wonder why we don't view our financial information with as much concern as our health care information. Bad credit or financial errors can keep you from getting a job, buying or renting a house, or being able to lease a car - it seems as though your financial information and its security should be as much of a concern as your health information, however we readily hand this over to the banking system???
